Turtles

Worldwide there are 7 different species of sea turtles, 3 of which can be found on Bonaire! The Green Turtle and the Hawksbill Turtle are frequently seen in the waters around Bonaire. The Loggerhead Turtle is normally only seen in the nesting season when they come back to lay eggs on exactly the same spot where they where born themselves. We love turtles too and we always go look for them when we go snorkeling during our trips.

About Us

Since January 2018 we, Ivo & Ingeborg, have been living on the beautiful and friendly Bonaire. After several months of ‘test-living’ and working, a period in which Ivo became dive instructor, we decided to stay and live on Bonaire permanently.

In the Netherlands we both worked in a completely different field. Ivo has held various positions in the international insurance industry and Ingeborg was active in local politics for 20 years. In the past years we have expanded our skills in various fields. In the field of diving Ivo is a certified Padi Master Scuba Diver Trainer/EFR trainer and Ingeborg a certified Rescue Diver and Tourguide.

With the move to Bonaire we have made our work out of our hobbies. We consider a relaxed atmosphere and personal attention to be very important. For that reason we consciously focus on working with very small private groups and determine the program for all activities with you. Our goal is that you get the most out of your days on Bonaire!

Flamingos

Approximately 210 different kinds of birds live on Bonaire. The Caribbean Flamingo is the best known of them all. The bird only breeds in quiet places in which it has enough space. For that reason Bonaire is one of the most important breeding places for the colony of Flamingo that lives in the Caribbean. At the moment approximately 15 to 20 thousand Flamingos live on the island. Flamingos can be seen on the northern and southern part of the island during an island tour.
